Dine for Life Blossoms in Spring 2011

Dine for Life celebrates another great success with the Spring Dinner raising $20,000 for People Who Care’s ‘Power a Pensioner’ program and at the same time scoring the title of that state’s first ever simultaneous bi-regional fundraising dinner. One hundred and fifty guests were wined and dined by the crème de le crème of restaurants in Perth and the South West with locally grown produce, bringing together the WA community to support our seniors suffering hardship.

This year Dine for Life surprised guests with more than just the two events and two secret after party locations. In Perth the after party was held at the luxe XO Lounge, but not before guests attended a very unique pre-party hosted by expert mixologists Cocktail Gastronomy in the courtyard of the Exchange Plaza. At the pre-party guests were served an amazing Cherry Ripe cocktail and dessert creation while they were snapped by media and photographers. Eventually they made their way up the red carpet and into the official after party hosted by 6PR’s much loved Tony McManus.

In the South West diners were joined by Founders Natasha Di Ciano and Andjelka Matic, and People Care’s General Manager Andrew York who welcomed them to the stunning after party held at the five star Quay West Resort Bunker Bay. As the South West after party wrapped up, the trio made their way onto a sponsored charter flight back to Perth to address the guests celebrating at XO Lounge.

What a phenomenal effort put forward by the Dine for Life and EGAMI team in delivering on the promise of a spectacular Spring Dinner which surpassed everyone’s expectations. Stay tuned for the 2012 event!

Event Details

With the smell of spring in the air, the sun is also set to shine on the 2011 Dine for Life dinner series. In the first of its kind, the Spring Dinner will blossom as a bi-regional simultaneous dining experience and will showcase WA food and wine at its finest.

For this year’s event Dine for Life welcomes restaurants from the South West wine region to join the Perth restaurants in hosting the dinners in which guests will be able to choose to indulge at either of WA’s first-class food and wine havens on the evening of 13 October. This fresh approach to social dining is all in the name of charity and will raise funds for a common cause; WA charity People Who Care’s ‘Power a Pensioner’ initiative which aims to highlight the hardships endured by pensioners and the elderly in the community.

EGAMI Founder and Managing Director Natasha Di Ciano, who founded Dine for Life with Andjelka Matic in 2009, feels that venturing to the South West was a natural progression considering Dine for Life’s goal of growing bigger and better with each event.

We are so lucky to live in a state with such an abundance of talented chefs, beautiful food and wine, and stunning venues and we are so pleased that Dine for Life is able to offer a unique platform to showcase this,” Ms Di Ciano said.
